We are always on a quest for some new and wonderful place to eat and enjoy some nice wine. Our latest discovery is The Mill Cafe in Thornbury.
I believe many of you will know this cafe HOWEVER do you know it is now under new ownership and newly managed by Dave and Linda Phillips along with Chef Nick who does a wonderful job with his terrific menu with something to please everyone's palate?
We enjoyed a delicious dinner accompanied by some wonderful wine David brought with us to enjoy at a very fair and nominal corkage of $10 per bottle. The bonus is on Wednesday nights when corkage is only $1 definitely promoting the enjoyment of wine with your meal at an affordable cost. We were also fortunate to taste their house wine and priced at $36.00 is a great addition to any meal.
Be sure to meet Dave Phillips your host who will give you a complete description of the menu and many wonderful suggestions.
We are organizing a "special" event soon at The Mill Cafe so stay tuned for more information.

Hello Winetasters of Collingwood!
Our first tasting in Collingwood is being held in the William Watts room adjacent to Memories Restaurant at CRANBERRY RESORT! We know our group here in Collingwood will eventually be as successful as Winetasters of Muskoka was with up to 100 members!
To attend kindly contact us at nina@margesson.com.
However, you may wish to take advantage of attending the first tasting at the "member" fee of $30 before you decide to become part of our group.
After this tasting the fee will be $30 for members and $40 for non-members.
We do have some people already registered so if you have already signed up kindly ignore this message J.
After the tasting (which begins at 6:00 pm sharp) there is dinner which is optional however almost everyone stays to continue the social part of the evening. It's a wonderful way to meet some new people and make some interesting friends!
If you know others who may be interested in learning about wine please have them contact us by email so we can answer any questions they may have.
Please note that we are out of the country from September 15-29th so if you do email in that time period we will not answer until our return however we are here for the balance of this week!
We look forward to seeing you on the 16th!
Cheers!

What is the definition of a good wine?
It should start and end with a smile.
